MCAs Debate in Galbet Ward, Garissa
On 12th July 2012, we held a successful MCAs Debate in Galbet ward, Garissa. Three MCA aspirants were present and engaged with their electorates on issues they going to address if elected. Health, Education and Security were key issues that emerged. All the Aspirants signed an accord that:
1. After 30 day of elections they will convene a citizens forum to set priorities for the wards.
2. Promote open governance practices, protect the peoples rights as enshrined in the constitution,
3. Uphold the National Values and principles of Governance and understand that Should they go contrary to the accord, then the recall clause will apply as is in article 104 of the constitution.
